IT Support Technician
Description
S&W Wholesale Foods of Hammond is seeking an IT Support Technician that is self-motivated, a team player and willing to work in a challenging, fast-paced work environment. The IT Support Technician is responsible for maintaining computer systems and other technologies in an office / warehouse setting. Their duties include working with other IT Technicians to install hardware and troubleshoot computer / server issues, responding to IT inquiries from other employees, maintaining office / warehouse functionality for a 24/7 operation, and updating / maintaining security protection software and procedures to prevent viruses or computer hacking.
Environment:
S&W is a large wholesale food distributor and the onsite work environment consists of an office area, warehouse, cooler, and freezer that all require IT functionality and maintenance. The temperature ranges widely consistent with the work environments previously mentioned. A large portion of the equipment is installed in locations that will require the use of a manlift to access devices. The IT Support Technician hired for this role must be willing to operate and work using a manlift at varying heights. This position 100% on-site.
What you'll Do:
Offer technical support to staff members and troubleshoot computer issues.
Install and update company software and hardware as needed.
Install and manage network and computer infrastructure.
Install and manage wired and wireless network devices.
Create new Office 365 users and import historical data.
Server maintenance.
Documenting user information, systems, known issues, and connectivity.
AD configuration and maintenance.
Enforcement of IT security policies.
Issue tracking, analysis and resolution.

Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm
On call rotation and possibility of working on weekends dependent on company need.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science required preferred or 5 years experience.
Experience in Microsoft Office Software, Cloud Base programs, Networking Protocols/technologies, Server Administration, Computer Hardware, SQL Support.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Regularly standing, sitting.
Frequently lift 25 to 50 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time.
