Return Policy

At delivery, we guarantee 100% satisfaction on everything. Your S&W driver will help you verify that the number of items delivered matches your invoice. The driver will also make a return and credit request at time of delivery on fresh meat, fresh seafood, produce, and other perishable items.

Even after your initial delivery, you may still return items within the following time frames:

Return Time Frames

  • Fresh meat, poultry, and all seafood — Time of delivery only
  • Fresh milk — Time of delivery only
  • Special order meats (concealed damage only) — 24 hours
  • Fresh produce — must be transmitted by the next business day after delivery
  • Perishables (dairy, etc.) — 72 hours
  • Frozen items — 7 days
  • All other food items — 10 days
  • Non-foods — 14 days

Return Requirements

  • All products must be maintained in their original state (frozen, refrigerated, etc.) and in the original case
  • Drivers will not pick up product without pickup documentation
  • Return products must be free of markings or damage to packaging to receive credit
  • Returns outside of normal policy may be subject to a 25% restocking charge

Category-Specific Rules

Fresh Meat & Poultry: Must be accepted or refused at time of delivery.
Seafood: Federal HACCP regulations mandate fresh or frozen seafood may only be returned at time of delivery.
Fresh Dairy: Returns must be transmitted within 72 hours.
Chemicals: Federal HAZMAT and OSHA regulations prohibit transport of open containers or products not in original packaging.
Special Order/Remote Stock Items: Non-stocked items are purchased specifically for you and are not returnable except when damaged or of questionable quality at time of delivery.

Quality Assurance

In the event of a product quality issue, please have the following ready for your Sales or Customer Service Representative:

  • Item code
  • Any case codes
  • Invoice number from delivery day
  • Please save the product and any foreign objects

Special Events Truck Rental Policy

Thank you for your business related to the various fairs and festivals throughout the year. Due to the rising cost of doing business, the following policies are in effect. All rentals are subject to availability.

  1. All orders must be placed a minimum of one week in advance.
  2. A signed blank check must be left at the S&W office the week of the event. After all credits and adjustments are finalized, you will be notified of the amount due.
  3. The balance on all accounts must be paid by the Friday after the event. Otherwise, S&W will complete and deposit the check.
  4. A 25% restocking fee applies to all returned products after the festival. Only dry products are eligible for return credit.
  5. All products must be returned in the same condition as shipped. No credit will be given on any open product.
  6. If the truck is shared with multiple customers, one designated person must be assigned to manage product from the truck. S&W is not responsible for any loss of product after check-in.
  7. Please provide a cell phone number for a contact person who will be on-site at the event.
  8. Box Truck or Pup Trailer Rental: $1,500.00 — subject to availability. Minimum 2-week notice required for reservation.
