General Maintenance Facilities Associate

Position Summary S&W is in search of a General Maintenance Facilities Associate! This position exists to assist in maintaining an adequate facility, material handling, refrigeration, mechanical systems and AIB compliant sanitation/pest control processes. This is a daytime position with some on-call responsibilities. The General Maintenance Facilities Associate plays a vital role in supporting the maintenance, appearance, and functionality of facilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Performing routine maintenance tasks: This may involve repairs, cleaning, and upkeep of equipment and facilities. Conducting inspections: Regular inspections are necessary to identify and fix potential problems before they escalate. Maintaining records: Keeping accurate records of maintenance activities and service cycles is essential. Participating in renovations and installations: Assisting in major renovations, new construction, alterations, and equipment installations. Reporting issues: Promptly reporting equipment and system operation problems to the supervisor and contacting outside service assistance for major equipment failures. Maintaining tools and supplies: Ensuring the necessary tools and supplies are available for performing duties. Working in various conditions: Performing work in small, cramped areas, in various weather conditions, and in small spaces. Safety Conscious: Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced, Busy Environment with Safety as the number one priority. Performing other duties, as assigned. Preferred Knowledge and Experience Knowledge of Distribution Center Operations. Knowledge of industrial ammonia refrigeration systems. Education and Experience: At least 1 – 2 years of maintenance experience High School Diploma or GED. Physical Demands and Work Environment Ability to routinely lift and move objects weighing 40-60 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Ability to stay on your feet for long periods of time. Ability to work in a cold environment and withstand cold temperatures. Benefits Include Birthday Holiday!
