Accounts Payable Clerk
About the Role!
We are looking for a detailed-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our growing team. In this role, you will ensure accurate and timely payable remittances to our valued vendors while supporting the overall strength of our financial operations.
What You’ll Do as an Accounts Payable Clerk for S&W Foods
Invoicing & Payments: Receive, verify, and process invoices and requisitions for goods and services. Process AP inventory payments efficiently via credit cards.
Reporting & Statements: Utilize computer programs to process daily A/P statements and reports. Prepare comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
ACH Processing: Act as the primary point of contact for AP ACHs and prepare organized ACH packets for the Staff Accountant.
Team Collaboration: Work alongside the AP Manager on special projects and daily duties. Step up to act as a backup for the AP Manager when needed.
Clerical Support: Perform a variety of accounting tasks to maintain payable records, including digital and physical filing.
Relationship Management: Maintain professional, courteous customer service when communicating with visitors, clients, and vendors.
What Success Looks Like!
Experience: 2+ years of dedicated Accounts Payable (A/P) experience (an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered).
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a strong general understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Analytical Mindset: Exceptional data entry accuracy, strong analytical capabilities, and sharp problem-solving skills.
Soft Skills: High level of discretion when handling confidential material, combined with excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
Time Management: Proven ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Education & Physical Demands
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Environment: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Physical Capability: Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.

This role involves prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. You must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. This is a full-time position that requires you to work in the office, Monday through Friday.
